  1. SW: Have you ever seen Kentucky Fried Movie (1977)? Great spoof movie with a "feature" called A Fistful of Yen. It's a takeoff on Bruce Lee's Enter the Dragon. The first time I saw it I laughed myself into an asthma attack. It used to be shown as a double feature (dating myself here) with the Groove Tube. Ray
  2. Jayman: Just saw the 1931 German Classic movie "M" last week for the first time. I had seen the 1951 American remake before but this subtitled original was far superior and very disturbing. Ray
  3. Dannyboy: When I was a little boy I went the movies with my friend and his mother. During the coming attractions they showed The Horror of Dracula and Frankenstein. We were very young and (I didn't know this till later) my friend's mother covered his eyes during the attractions. I had nightmares that night. I'm truly stuck in the 60's this week. My Three Sons, Leave it to Beaver, I Love Lucy, Gomer Pyle, Green Acres, The Twilight Zone, and Mannix. I've even been listening to early 60's music. The Twilight Zone episode was "Kick the Can." I think I want to go back, too. Ray
  4. Which Cape Fear? 60's original, or 90's remake?
  5. Recent viewings during the past week. Highway Patrol, Wagon Train, Have Gun Will Travel, Perry Mason, Leave it to Beaver, They Made Me a Criminal (1939), M (1951), and Press Your Luck (80's). Big Bucks No Whammies.
  6. Dannyboy: Wasn't planning on watching this, but it came on and I stuck with it. Ray
  7. Dannyboy: Probably the best of the Titanic movies, Ever see the 1943 German version? Ray
  8. Dannyboy: Haven't seen that in years. I watched 5 episodes of the 1960's series Combat with Vic Morrow and Rick Jason over the weekend. I may have reached the bottom today by watching The Brain That Wouldn't Die. Ray
  9. Dannyboy: I stayed home "sick" from school to watch game 5. Ray
  10. Dannyboy: I remember that, but I'm not sure where I saw it. Do you remember Gary Larson's "The Lone Ranger in Retirement?" Ray
  11. Dannyboy: Wow! You're the only person I've ever known who remembers Eddie Miles. Ray
  12. Dannyboy: Trivia: What NBA player from the 60's was called The Man with the Golden Arm? I watched Casablanca last night, Ray
  13. Dannyboy: Also, Papillon, Mean Streets, The Exorcist, and The Day of the Jackal. Charley Varick was from 74. Worth seeing. Ray
  14. Switched gears over the weekend. Watched 3 NCAA 1970s finals basketball games and a 1970 world series game.
  15. Dannyboy: Did you ever see Charley Varick? Another good Matthau movie from that era. Ray
  16. Dannyboy: Good flick. I watched it last night. Ray
  17. Been watching the Investigative Discovery Channel and an occasional movie. The ID Channel is fascinating and addicting, but too much can be depressing. Just saw a movie called Cabin in the Woods. Kind of a throwback to the 80's college kids being killed movies with an unusual twist.
  18. The next Mystery Session mystery will not only be with whom, it will also be when.
  19. I'm ready to dust off the power block set in the basement. It's an 85 pound set with 5 pound increments the equivalent of 17 pairs of dumbbells. I bought these over 20 years ago in case I couldn't get to the gym for an extended period. Guess that time is here.
