I went there for dim sum a few years back, before it was Nom Wah. The waitress went outside (to another restaurant?) to get dim sum to serve to us- it was a weird experience. Nom Wah's owner, Wilson aka Mr. Tall, used to own and run a bakery on Allen Street that is now closed (https://www.yelp.com/biz/mr-tall-coffee-and-bakery-new-york). When I was getting the Fortress up and running at the original location I had many late nights that ran into early mornings. Mr. Tall was there baking baos at 5AM and we became fast friends ? I loved his baos LOL
