My current China crush is this dude who raps in six languages- English, Chinese (Mandarin), Spanish, Russian, German and Korean. His name is Rice Boy Liu ;-) If you can understand what he's saying in Spanish, Russian, German or Korean, please TELL ME! ;-) He has another video rapping in twelve accents-

One could argue that lingerie worn without an outer layer is no longer lingerie and I would agree. I will almost always choose to wear lingerie with layers.

If i had to pick only one that was MOST disturbing, it would be this one: http://flavorwire.com/218138/polly-borlands-indescribably-creepy-smudge-photographs/9 It makes me audibly cringe every time.

Different generation, but Google is my friend ;-) What I find fascinating is the feelings or lack of towards iconic imagery and merch.

Rewatched Heathers for the umpteenth time for who knows why (grammar?). There was a sliver of a scene that I missed all those other times not sure if there was meant to be a connection but there was in my memory. The scene when Veronica stops Heather (the yellow one, "Tweety") from OD on a bottle full of pills- Veronica stomps on the pills in the bathroom floor which instantly unlocked the image of the infamous 80s "Cigarette Mash" commercial. Anyone else have generational imagery locked away in their head to share via YouTube? PS- Now I need a monocle. PPS- And a Big Fun tee-shirt.

Is it really? Neve heard that. I saw Leonard Cohen perform a few years ago at Radio City. The show was almost 4 hours long, I don't know how that man did it. I have to admit I nodded off several times ;-(

A little post-snowstorm-scare-silliness. Googled a bunch of slang definitions of our names. Here are the best of them (UrbanDictionary.com): FEI (my personal fave- strangely lengthly, detailed and perfect!): KOI (short and to the (apparently, same) point(s) LOL): LU (not exactly "Lu" but I liked these definitions better): REY (weirdly "good", and random (Chuck?!) LOL): TRAN (both perfectly worded): ZHAO (slim selection likely due to the unusual spelling, but still works!): ...aaaannnnddd.... KANG (check out the "words related to" ha!):

This was a question in a recent session. The correct answer is: Newfoundland and Labrador http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dildo_Island But there was another correct answer which our sub urgently offered. Just thought I'd share ;-)

http://mashable.com/2015/01/20/invisible-boyfriend-app-actually-a-thing/ They have it for boyfriends, girlfriends and is even LGBT friendly but they really need to make it BDSM friendly too. I wonder if it's a live? I doubt it but I'd love to write copy for it either way ;-) If there were a BDSM version, how many of you would sign up for it? Honestly. What about just the vanilla version?

That is an art, stop being a perv. I'm serious! LOL OK but seriously, I am.

Anyone watching Wilfred? It's good even if you're not a hippie ;-) http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1703925/ Just saw Season 2 Episode 6 "Avoidance"- at the end of that episode there's a scene that just makes me feel all warm and fuzzy and giddy excited! Couldn't find a shorter clip online but here it is (skip to the end @ 8:16 - 8:21) It might be better if you had some context, I don't know. Ya'll like a little reading now and then right? http://www.ign.com/articles/2012/08/03/wilfred-avoidance-review http://www.avclub.com/tvclub/wilfred-avoidance-83166 -
Oooh!! Found this video a while back but couldn't think of anyone who would appreciate it to share it with but now...!! This is how I remember Chinatown.
-
Pell is my absolutely favorite street in Chinatown. Second favorite is Mosco which is right around the block. Much has changed since the 80s but I can still remember it so vividly, probably from the sheer repetition. Every single Saturday and Sunday I was sat in the back of the family jeep next to my brother with 1010 WINS blaring from the radio. I did so much thinking during those car rides. We always took the same exact route into Chinatown- off the Williamsburg, down Delancey, left on Allen, slight right onto Division, then left on Bowery, right on Mulberry and blah blah blah For many many summers, I attended Chinese School (it's literally called "The New York Chinese School"- I KNOW, so creative right?) to learn to write in Chinese and speak Mandarin (we spoke Cantonese at home). One year they switched things up and enrolled us in the Transfiguration School for the summer. I remember learning how to sing "Puff The Magic Dragon"- no, this is not "code" LOL Anyone ever been to the movie theaters that used to be under the overpass on East Broadway? My two aunts are Chinese Opera singers- I mean with the full getup like this: BTW that is NOT my aunt, just a random Google image!

Something about the sound, and seeing your body involuntarily jerk makes me want to apply just a little more pressure for just a little longer...
