I've actually stayed at one in that area...not on Ms Kang's list because it has just reopened/changed owners/or
something along those lines...called Clarion Collection The GEM Hotel-SoHo ...same 800 number or website(choicehotels.com) as the other Clarion Collection hotel she listed...definitely walking distance...close to a number
of different subway lines...new carpet, beds, ihome, flat screens, etc...good value for the money...rooms bigger than most in NYC...has about 50 rooms total.
