The flesh wounds from the razor wire healed, and I found someone to cut off the leg irons and not ask any questions. Getting the name change cost me some legal fees too, but the toughest thing is constantly hiding from the search parties. Oh well, life during wartime . . . . -

They're able to inspect all traffic in and outbound from/to the U.S., but the off-shore server part is reassuring for other reasons.

Mina, that's a clever turn of phrase; well played. I'd need to negotiate you down from a fork to something less sharp and pointy, though. I hereby check in, prematurely, to let you know I'm still alive, and it's very nice of you to ask. I've gotten a couple of big things out of the way and have some serious butterflies in my stomach about some others that I hope to accomplish shortly. I know that's a cryptic, lame-ass excuse for a check in but I'm hoping you'll give me a short, temporary pass on that for now. :-0
