"Ascenseur pour l'échafaud" is my favorite Miles Davis album. It's so sexy and film noir, like walking around New York at night. "Slow Dance" is my favorite John Coltrane song. Pure elegance. "Portrait in Jazz" for Bill Evans. Particularly the "Spring is here." piece. It transports me to my lazy Parisian cafe afternoons. -
