Went out to get Ramen for lunch the other day.  Ramen makes me think of the Fortress.  I have often eaten ramen in the hotel the night before (even if the Fortress Mistresses pooh-pooh that particular restaurant.  I have also enjoyed ramen with Mistress Rey as she mocked my ramen-eaten technique.  I wonder now if HMK remembers the time we enjoyed "floor ramen.IMG_1926.thumb.jpg.e5bd48b10c0707eb55fa0a7d582d5fa9.jpg

That ramen place also had tasty desserts!

But tonight I cooked for myself, a dish I invented called "Burrito Guts" or "Mystery White Guy Mexican Slurry."  It's rice, ground chorizo, diced tomato and peppers, chunky salsa, sour cream and pepper jack cheese, melted and cooked together.

I was in Chicago last week.  I prefer New York style pizza but while in Chicago, I had to eat deep dish at the original Uno's Pizza location!

Tasty!

You can’t really compare Chicago deep dish with NY pizza since they are completely different meals.  It’s like comparing sea food to steak.

But for Chicago style pizza I recommend Giordano’s or Geno’s East.  Both are very good.

The other night I had Goat Kheema Biryani from a takeout place.  Has anybody tried Biryani?  I've been getting goat but I may try fish next time.  I always ask for salan only as the side, and an extra egg!  Here's two pictures before mixing in the salan, and one after.

Umm, actually, Wiener Schnitzel is from Austria (🇦🇹) not Germany (🇩🇪) *pushed nerd glasses up nose*

Actually I’d love to debate the true origin of that very chicken cutlet whilst further pressing your nerd glasses up your nose, over dinner in the near future.. LOL

Ohh but I do enjoy a bit of 🤓 knowledge, it sent me down a little schnitzel rabbit hole.
Such a popular chicken cutlet it was LOL

Well, there was an element of "correct MVD and punished for it later" as a joke, but now I'm really confused.  It's a chicken cutlet?  Then it's not even Wiener Schnitzel!  Wiener schnitzel is veal, chicken would be...well, chicken schnitzel I guess.

Actually, the reason I was so sure it's Austian is because "Wiener" actually means "Viennese" in German.  So maybe chicken schnitzel is less associated with Austria?  Now I'VE gone down a rabbit hole too, I guess someone claims it was invented in Italy which caused a culinary uproar!  It is apparently illegal in Austria to sell "Wiener Schnitzel" in Austria that isn't made of veal because pork schnitzel tastes similar but is much cheaper to make.  Chicken schnitzel is very popular in Israel, as it turns out.  It's a small schnitzel world, full of little wieners.

It’s the only thing around here with little wieners.

Lol was a little sleepy on the response.
So the rabbit hole said chicken, (Italians etc) & this is how we wound up here.  I love a good ole fashioned drama of stolen recipes.  😂
I knew it was a huge wiener, though!

Mushrooms soup i made it myself

Tell us more!  I use a canned Cream of Mushroom Soup as part of a recipe I make (Tuna Noodle Casserole, which at least two Mistresses now consider a reason no punishment would ever be enough for my culinary crimes).  How did you make it?
