That's why I posted it - He looks so funny with it - I could just picture him on stage wearing this guitar really low & kicking all of his Marshall Amps over while he's playing this guitar. Dude, after I Googled it, it appears that Slash has been putting this up in various forums around the web. Now that's what I call a very secure rocker. Pretty damned funny. Now that's what I call a very secure rocker. Pretty damned funny. Hey Phred: How are you? I'm guessing that Slash is probably just joking around - in the photo he looks like he was kind of laughing - I can't imagine him actually bringing it on tour along with his Les Paul's - but who knows? I had heard him mention, I think that he has a machine in his chest that keeps his heart beating - pretty scary. MARRIED TO ROCK STEVE STEVENS PLAYS HELLO KITTY GUITAR Check this out - this so funny - I saw this on tv a while back - a reality show about Rock Stars married lives & Steve Stevens' wife comes with him on tour & she redecorates the whole tour bus with everything Hello Kitty & the band gets really pissed & tells him to make her change everything back & then she surprises him by buying him a Hello Kitty Strat & hands it to him right before he he goes on stage for an encore. Here's the link (copy & paste) - sorry, it's not the best quality but it was all that I could find. www.youtube.com/watch?v=DpCQQXYpZ0o I will admit, about 15 years ago, I played a whole gig with a pink Fender Stratocaster that a friend lent to me for that gig - it wasn't Hello Kitty or anything like that (I don't think I even heard of Hello Kitty back then) - just a plain pink Fender Strat - it sounded great - it had the meanest sound - I had it cranked through a Fender Super Reverb & I had a tube screamer but I hardly used it because the guitar had such a heavy sound - I tried to get him to sell it to me but he wouldn't sell it - I tried to buy one new but they stopped making them & then it was reissued but the pink color didn't look the same & then Squier came out with one but it looks more like purple than pink - I've seen a few dudes play pink guitars - sometimes. Hey Johnny! That's awesome - whenever I'm feeling stoopid, I just cramp my amp and jam out with Steve Stevens and the Top Gun Anthem (can't do the solo, but can hit most of the main parts). I had a friend who had a baby-blue Strat. He handled it quite well... I can't really get enough of guitar players - absolutely love Vai, Satriani, Morse, etc. One of my all time favorites, though, hands down, is John Petrucci from Dream Theater. He's done a bunch of solo work and some fantastic side projects. I've been lucky enough to meet him a few times, and I have to say watching him play in concert is an absolutely religious experience for me. This is one of my favorite songs of his - I saw him play it on the G3 tour at the Beacon years ago (it's a bit pop-y, but puts me in quite a trance):
Johnny000000
Hey Phred: How are you? Wow, that was some wild guitar playing. I've been wanting to check out his music because I see he did a toneprint for the corona chorus. Actually, I used to listen to a lot of metal & progressive rock a long time ago but for some reason I just drifted away from it - I should start listening to more of that stuff - most of my friends are totally into Zappa, Vai, Satriani, Steve Morse, Rhandy Roads, EVH, Zakk Wilde, Rush, Guns 'n' Roses, Kiss, Yngwie, Megadeth, etc. & I listen to some of that stuff once in a while & I have seen a few metal concerts - but I'm more into rock, blues and some older metal like Sabbath, Motorhead - I love Metallica - Although I don't listen to metal that much, I do love Slash's playing & Steve Steven's playing - theyre both great guitar players that seem to cross over into different audiences -& everyone seems to love both players. That was a cool song - thanks.
