Dashan
Fortress fans may be interested in the amazing Paul McCarthy exhibit at the Park Avenue Armory, entitled "WS." It is a very edgy, controversial, and profound video/installation. It is a debauched, twisted live action version of the Disney Snow White animated film, complete with the sets they filmed it in. Why is it so controversial? Snow White engages in golden showers, simulated brown showers, and general debauchery with 7 perverse dwarfs and even her body double. I found it amusing to watch people recoil in disgust and cover their faces at one point in which one of the dwarves pees in the mouth of the Walt Disney character. I thought to myself "just an ordinary day at the FF." It is not "sexy" or overtly BDSM oriented, but for fans of GS it will be quite interesting. For fans of fine, challenging art, it will be great, too. Highly recommended. http://www.armoryonp...aul_mccarthy_WS
Mistress Faye Sunya
Sounds interesting, but I think I would be more intrigued if Snow White was on giving and not receiving...
Mistress Kang
My sense of what's weird is definitely skewed, and I think most, if not all, of the Fortress ladies feel the same way. That said, I can see how his work is reaching out and can appreciate it for what it is. But I agree with Sunya on how it could have been more "eyeball-popping-out-and-catching". I've been itching to make a Moma trip, if I do add this to my itinerary I'll report back On another note regarding art and Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. Although his art is not sexualized, it does come from a place in his brain where his wiring is probably as messed up as ours! I think he's pretty awesome. http://www.willard-w...om/default.aspx In his interview he says that he has accidentally inhaled his work before LOL Scroll down to the last video (kind of long but interesting!): http://www.willard-w....com/video.aspx

This work would challenge even the open-minded women of the Fortress.
TS Mistress Yee
just saw it the other day. It was delightful. I love the dichotomy of a grotesque interpretation of a beloved fairy tale.
