Mistress Kang
My newest fad is watching fight weigh-ins. I LOVE watching MMA weigh-ins, Boxing (weigh-ins) are OK too. I love how they get super leaned out for the weigh in and then swell back up for the fight ;-) Yummmmz... All time faves: Brock Lesner is a big boy *siiigh* (6'3" 265lb) He is a cutie: Little off topic, but good stuff: Remix (starts @ 3:41)
Jung's Jewboy
Is it about the objectification of the men and the trash talking? It's kind of a mini-session in a way!
Mistress Kang
Definitely their objectification, being put on display and "quality-checked". I like seeing their personalities in their short lived moment of bravado because there's only one winner. Most of them wear more than one shirt to the weigh-ins, sometimes even more than one pair of pants/shorts. It's probably just an advertising ploy, but I still love how they always deliberately take off one layer at a time, even when it's obvious it'd be easier to take them all off at once. Dear Ms. Kang: Don't get me wrong because I know your of your fascination with ths stuff, yet I am a fight purist. All of the pre-fight stuff to me is total bullshit and is not a necessity to the fight itself. Of course if you enjoy it I wish you every opportunity to revel in it. I know we can have differing opinions about many things and still share mutual respect. So please enjoy!! Dannyboy

MMA fighters are also (generally) very humble. MMA fights allow the fighters to tap out. Boxing requires the fighters to keep going until one of them is basically unconscious from being punched in the face. What about other sports like Football? There is "violence" in Football, Soccer, Ice Hockey...which is for the most part unsanctioned.

Mistress Kang
Totally obsessed with fight footage. Found this compilation of KO-Fails. #5 had me cracking up for a full minute. #4 is good. #2- when all else fails, dick punches. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FJzY6UjCmIY
wayne
Men and women are more alike than most will admit to. Sapiosexual or otherwise, all attraction starts with physicality. I was recently thinking about that for some reason. I definitely agree on the first sentence, but it matters to what degree. Many attributes are pretty much the same, but some are very different. One important one is how emotion is handled, Women to me handle it much better and are stronger in that way than men. Another is physical attractiveness is not as important for a woman as a man (also a matter of degree only). Also, the ability to nurture. just to name a few. Just to note...i think all the mistresses i've seen at the fortress are very nurturing. As far as the second point, I also agree. However, in time, the attraction will either fade or get stronger depending on other characteristics such as intellect, life philosophy, humor, and many other things that will make you able to relate, understand, and be compatible. I'm just saying this, not that I know it for a fact, but is based on my experience with people, and so is what I believe.

Dashan
One thing I sure don't miss about boxing is cutting weight. It makes you so hungry and pissed off that you can't wait to rip the other guy's head off
Mistress Tran
HAHAHA I caught you watching a bunch of them MKang- you definitely have a new obsession. I don't really watch the weigh-in's but I do like watching MMA fights in general. The skill, technique, and discipline is quite amazing. I do however think of The Thunderdome when I watch these fights though.

There is "violence" in Football, Soccer, Ice Hockey...which is for the most part unsanctioned. Dear Ms.Kang: My comments were based mostly on my observations of boxing. The lack of respect and humility, the pre-ffight hype and staged confrontations. I have little exposure to MMA although I know a few people who have some involvement in MMA. I accept your observations at face-value and with respect. We all know there is violence in major sports, unsanctioned of course, and we know that since there is so much money involved it is extremely difficult to do anything about it. It is big business. Let me also say that boxers can quit during the fight (remember the NO MAS fight between Duran and Leonard), the referee can stop a fight and so can the doctor. A fighter can take a knee (voluntary go down) and the corner can throw in the towel thereby stopping the fight. We make criminals and sociopaths into natural heroes because of their skills in a particular sport. If MMA is as humble and sporting as you say it is then maybe I might give it a try. Outcast
I enjoy boxing more then MMA but would understand if it was banned. People die in the ring.on occasion. The repeated blows to.the head aren't natural and take tolls on a fighter's well being. Fighters, as tough as they are, are in many ways victims of the dirty.business of boxing and unless they reach super stardom, do not receive the just money they.deserve. I love martial arts ,but got turned off to MMA,. I saw a fight with Brock Lesner Years ago when.he.knocked some dude out and was behaving like a total steriod dick afterward that I swore it off. There are enough assholes in the world walking down.the street then pay to watch them.on tv!

I totally agree with you about Boxers being used but I think that can be said about so many other fame-money-business-relationships. Was there something else you didn't like about MMA? Boxers are only one of the many athletes that are roid-heads. Although I can't think of a Boxing incident similar to Lesner's I'm sure I can find at least one if I looked. I like Mike Tyson- even though he's been painted by the media as a crazy woman beating rapist.
Dogzilla
Mistress Kang, wow! I had no idea you were into this sport. I agree that there are boxers who are also unsportsmanlike but I still prefer it to MMA. The who atmosphere of an MMA just rubs me wrong. It seems to savage for my tastes. The funny thing is in reality boxing is more dangerous and more savage in my opinion. About Mike Tyson, I think he had raw natural power and talent and if he was able to get.his mental health shit together and grow up he could have went.further then he.did. He's definitely interesting in interviews, particulary when he's pissed off. Youtube search "mike tysons craziest moments" and you'll see what I mean. You're right, the "feel" of MMA vs. Boxing is very different. To me it seems like boxers are handled like prized ponies by their "bosses" and MMA is like a boys fight club with a set of unspoken inside rules. I'm glad we at least agree that boxing is in reality much more savage than MMA is though. Tyson is awesome, he's misunderstood. I want to pet him really hard. I'll lure him with a big steak... Dear Ms. Kang: Mike Tyson is a crazy woman beater (and man beater outside of the ring) but the rape case was totally bogus. He was led on by a girl seeking fame and fortune and set up by Don King who hooked him up with a lawyer who had no experience in criminal matters. Mistress Kang
THREAD REVIVAL!!! I've been perving all over the place. The supermarket, the internet, umm...yeah, those two places. Re-watched the first two videos I posted, only for the second time. So disappointed to learn that "Big Boy" and "Cutie" have both retired, Dana White is such a dick for badmouthing fighters when they leave UFC. Now what will I do with the rest of my Man-Crush-Tuesday? On wait, it's already 47 minutes into my Man-Crush-Wednesday! YAY!
Mistress Kang
So what if they call him "Cock Chestner". He's freaking MASSIVE it doesn't even matter. This video is awesome because of Joe Rogan's instinctive reaction to "Big Boy" hulking out at the camera LOL I also like it because "Big Boy" is 266#, one whole pound heavier in this weigh-in ;-) Man crush with me, it's Wednesday- he must eat like three steaks in one sitting!
